PURPOSE:To perform control with the minimum capacity of a pulse width controlling converter by limiting reactive power and active power in certain order and suppressing an increase in current when the current of the pulse width controlling converter reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A DC output voltage is detected by a detector 5 and compared with a command signal to control an effective current command pattern, i.e. active power according to the deviation. Further, reactive power supplied from an AC power source system to a load device 17 and a pulse width controlling converter 1 is detected by a detector 9 and compared with a reactive power command to control the amplitude of an ineffective current command pattern, i.e. reactive power according to the deviation. When the current of the converter 1 reaches a prescribed value, a setting circuit 20 obtains a signal corresponding to the maximum value of the ineffective current command on the basis of an effective current command from a voltage deviation amplifier 6 to control the maximum value of the output voltage of a reactive power deviation amplifier 12 by said signal. |
