<p>PURPOSE:To lower power for circulation, by projecting the inlet side of a descending pipe into a conical shape beyond a datum horizontal plane while circulating liquid to be purified in a cell through the descending pipe at the inside and then an ascending pipe at the outside, and aerating the liquid near the heighest part. CONSTITUTION:Liquid 8 to be purified is raised through a conical pipe by the operation of a pump 5, a valve 7 for the pump is closed, and the operation of the pump 5 is continued as such. An oxygen valve 6 which has been closed so far is opened, and a space above a datum water surface inside the peripheral wall of the descending pipe 2 but below the valve 7 for the pump is decompressed through the oxygen valve 6 by using a vacuum pump so that the liquid to be purified in the aerating cell 1 is pumped up to fill almost all of the space. The oxygen valve 6 is closed, the valve 7 is opened, the space in the aerating cell 1 is completely filled with the liquid to be purified by pumping said liquid through the pump 5, and the liquid to be purirfied is circulated. Thereafter, the valve 6 is opened to raise oxygen gas in the liquid to be purified by stages, and ordinary operation is started.</p> |
