PURPOSE:To improve the quality and to reduce the cost of a piezoelectric oscillator, by sealing airtight the circular frame of the oscillator to a sealing case with an internal touch or a gap and at the same time securing the conduction between the sealing material and both end parts of the circular frame. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric oscillator 1 is provided with a tuning fork type piezoelectric oscillator bar 2 and a circular frame 3 enclosing the bar 2. The frame 3 is connected to the bar 2 at the basement 4 of the bar 2 along with a photolithographic technique, a mechanical working, etc. The oscillating electrodes 5 and 6 are provided on the surface of the bar 2 and then connected to the electrodes 7 and 8 set across the frame 3. The oscillator 1 is inserted into a glass sealing case 9 which is opened at its both ends with an internal touch of the frame 3 to the inner side of the case 9 or a gap secured between the frame 3 and the inner side of the case 9. Then the oscillator 1 is held between the conductive sealing materials 10 and 11 at both ends of the oscillator 1. The glass of the case 9 is heated and melted around the materials 10 and 11 to perform the airtight sealing of the oscillator 1. |
