Filling element for counterpressure filling machine of single- or multi-chamber design, having a controlled pressure-gas/valve arrangement, a liquid valve to be closed by an actuating device, an electrical switching member consisting of a rod-shaped probe, formed over the entire length from an electrically conductive material, for generating a closure control signal for the actuating device of the liquid valve, and a filling-element body which is composed, from the vessel-side end of the liquid conduit at least beyond an electrical connection for the switching member, of an electrically insulating material and possesses the mounting for the switching member, which can be fixed therein and is in contact with the electrical connection.
