<p>The lift allows a person to handle a sail board on and off a car roof rack or trailer, which is fixed to a garage ceiling. It uses a winch fitted to the ceiling which grips the board at each end and can be controlled (6,7) from the floor. The single winch can be replaced by two (2,3), working in unison, but always holding the article horizontal. The lifting gear is, in any case, irreversible in action to avoid accidents.</p> |
