PURPOSE:To find the distribution status of an acoustic power level at a high density by mounting a microphone on a microphone stand supported by traveling rails in a measuring room so as to be smoothly moved in the vertical direction and controlling the position of the microphone by a computer. CONSTITUTION:Traveling rails 1, 1 having an opening on each side are opposed each other on the floor of a room to be measured and a microphone stand 2 is tranveled between these rails 1, 1. Spindles 3 equipped with wheels 4, 4 are connected to the output shaft of a motor 5. A microphone 6 is fitted to one side of the stand 2 so as to be bertically moved and one end of the microphone 6 is connected to a motor in a control box 9 through a loop 7 and a pulley 8. A computer 10 connected to a sound pressure signal cable 11 and a control signal cable 12 controls the vertical positions of the stand 2 and the microphone 6 in accordance with a previously set up program. The sound energy outputted from an object to be measured is returned to the computer 10 an its acoustic power level is calculated through arithmetic processing and recorded. |
