<p>Protective overalls are made from two panels of highly flexible plastics film joined by a peripheral seam to make a one piece overall to enclose the body from the neck downwards, including hands and feet. Pref. the panels are of flexible PVC 0.08-0.1 mm thick, of an an allergic grade free from optical colourants. The overalls are light to wear and free from any internal roughness which could be irritant. An example of suitable film was characterised by a density of 1.28 g/cm3 (+-10%), a tear strength of 10-12 N/mm2, an extensibility of 200%, a tear resistance of 0.6N, a reversion of about 3.5% after 10 mins. at 60 deg.C, plus resistance to 95 deg. C for 40 hrs. without deterioration.</p> |
