For the conveying of liquids, particularly of liquid pulps where different liquids have simultaneously to be pumped from a plurality of inlet chambers into a common working chamber or where liquid is to be conveyed from a common working chamber into different pressure chambers, a pump is used in which the separate inlet chambers or pressure chambers are connected by way of automatic valves to the common working chamber of the pump. The valves of the separate inlet chambers or pressure chambers are therefore forcibly connected to one another by means of a movement transmission mechanism. This forcible connection may be of hydraulic or purely mechanical design, for example. In this way, simultaneous working of the valves is possible so that a reliable pump is ensured by relatively simple means. <IMAGE>
