PURPOSE:To reduce pressure resistance value of an ion exchange resin tower, by a method wherein cooling water is directly returned to lower portion from upper portion of water in a tank, not through an outlet valve. CONSTITUTION:Cooling water stored in a tank 1 is supplied to a stator 8 through a cooling channel 9 via pump 2, cooler 6, and pressure reducing valve 7. After cooling the stator 8, the water is assumed to be returned to the tank 1. Then, the water in the inlet of the pressure reducing valve 7 is led to an ion exchange resin tower through the pipe 11 via an inlet valve 4. There, the water is refined and returned to the tank 1 through a return pipe of which outlet 12a is set upper than the water surface in the tank 1 and through the pipe 13 connected to the outlet 12a of the return pipe 12. The water through the pipe 13 is led to the lower portion of the tank 1. With this method, no high pressure is applied to the ion exchange resin tower even if the inlet valve is left open by accident when an ion exchange resin is changed. |
