In a process for the simultaneous production of a plurality of hollow bodies by inflating a tubular preform between a multi-part blow mould, a blow mould which moves together in the discharge direction of the preform and has mutually complementary negative formations is used, to be precise in such a way that first of all the discharged preform is grasped at both ends and inflated in a bead-like manner, and that then, when the blow mould is moved together, the extending-in bead of the preform is clamped between the negative formations and is partially inflated in these formations. The idea of this is that, with a blow-moulding machine of a certain capacity, hollow bodies of in fact any type can be produced by exchanging the blow mould. <IMAGE>
