The invention relates to a jigging machine for preparing fine and finest smalls, having a rectangular jig bed, a feeding device on one side of the rectangular jig bed and a discharging device on the other side of the latter, which device is arranged on the longitudinal sides of the rectangular jig bed. The jigging machine is substantially longer transversely to the direction of movement of the smalls than it is in the direction of movement of the latter, and is in particular between 1.5 and 2.5 m long. It has a hydraulic discharging device for discharging the particles of dirt from the lower part of the jigging machine and is composed of individual cells.
