In order to prevent profiles from buckling in, said profiles are provided with a circular tube cross-section. The resulting tube, which is closed at both ends, is filled with highly compressed gas, the pressure of which counteracts a deformation, which is necessary for buckling to occur, of circular cross-section. Owing to the compressed gas, the load-bearing capacity of the profile is thus reinforced without increasing its weight.
