<p>A fastening ribbon product comprising two longitudinal ribbons (10, 10'). The ribbons are made of flexible woven material and fitted with fastening items, which interlock the ribbons (10, 10') of the ribbon pair, i.e. couple them together. Both ribbons (10, 10') of the ribbon pair are fitted with separate male and/or female fastening items located at certain distances. The fastening items comprise individual and independent fastening item pairs that are arranged so as to make them interlock in such a way that the edges of the ribbons of the ribbon pair will either overlap or be adjacent. When guided against each other, the fastening item rows are locked by a pressing movement whose direction is essentially at right angles in respect to the plane of the ribbon pair and opened by a pulling movement whose direction is essentially the opposite. The fastening item rows of the ribbons of the ribbon pair are alternatively locked by moving the ribbons of the ribbon pair in the plane of the ribbon pair to one direction and opened by moving the ribbon pair to the opposite direction. The application also discloses various fastening tape combinations, procedures for the manufacture of such fastening ribbons, and different fastening item pairs and fastening ribbon products.</p> |
