Compounds of formula (I): <CHEM> having the 6-S-absolute configuration, or, where appropriate, a salt thereof wherein X is selected from: <CHEM> Y is oxygen, or sulphur R<1> is alkyl or aralkyl R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are the same or different and each is selected from hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, substituted aryl, aralkyl, substituted aralkyl, and, in addition R<2> and R<3> are also selected from heterocyclyl and substituted heterocyclyl, except that when Y is oxygen, R<2> and R<4> are hydrogen, and the dotted line is an optionally present carbon-carbon bond, have anthelminthic activity. |
