PURPOSE:To detect a true temperature of a photosensitive drum without damaging a temperature detector and the photosensitive drum, by pressing the temperature detector to the photosensitive drum only in the copy time. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of the non-image part of a photosensitive drum 1 is detected by a thermistor 45a, and the power supply to a heater 18 in the drum is controlled on the basis of this detection value to keep the temperature of the photosensitive drum constant. The thermistor 45a is attached to a supporting material 46 through a cushion 47. When the copy operation is not performed, an arm 50 is displaced by the operation of a solenoid 54 to separate the thermistor 45a from the surface of the drum, and thus, the damage of the surface of the drum is prevented. |
