In a supporting and guiding frame for a cast strand, with roller tracks (3, 4) supporting the strand on opposite sides, the rollers (8) of each of the roller tracks (3, 4) are mounted on at least two mutually opposite supporting segments (6, 7), it being possible to clamp the supporting segments (6, 7) with respect to one another and fix them to one another. In order to make the rollers readily accessible for maintenance purposes and in order to be able to remove a cooled hot strand in a simple manner from the supporting and guiding frame, at least one of the supporting segments (7) is mounted in such a way that it can be pivoted about a pivot (16) extending parallel to the longitudinal direction (5) of the roller tracks (3, 4), and can be pivoted about this pivot (16) out of an operating position into a maintenance position or vice versa. <IMAGE>
