PURPOSE:To obtain a photographic support good in adhesion and charging characteristics, by forming a subbing layer made of a specified hydroohilic binder composn. on at least one side of the support treated with electron impact. CONSTITUTION:Electron impact treatment, such as corona discharge, glow discharge, or nonpolar plasma discharge, is applied to at least one side of a photographic transparent support, and on this layer is formed a subbing layer contg. a hydrophilic binder, such as gelatin polyvinyl alochol, or acrylic acid copolymer, a conductive and crystalline metallic oxide selected from ZnO, TiO2, SnO2, Al2O3, In2O3, BaO, MoO3, etc., or their composite, or contg. a small amount of fine particles of different element, and a hardening agent of the hydrophilic binder so as to control light diffusion efficiency not above 50% when a photographic layer is formed on this layer. |
