<p>A resin impregnated woven fabric (12) extends the length of a joint (10) with a pair of spaced apart panels (24a, 24b) intersecting and interwoven with an intermediate laterally extending panel (20). A reinforcing core (14) extends between the spaced apart panels (24a, 24b) on one side of the laterally extending panel (20). Three cores (16, 18a, 18b) are located on the other side of the laterally extending panel (20). The intermediate core (16) of the three is located between the two spaced apart panels (24a, 24b) and is reinforced (30a, 30b) to provide torsional load resistance. The other two cores are reinforced (34, 36) to provide varying load bearing properties in a spanwise direction.</p> |
