A valve disk can be produced from two identical half parts (3, 4), each of which consists of a plate part with flanged edges and with one or two raised portions or recesses (5) for a through-going spindle (1). The spindle is produced from one piece of steel which is made flat on that part (2) which lies inside the valve disk. By assembling the parts to form a unit and connecting the parts together by soldering, welding or the like along an assembly surface (6), a valve disk is achieved which from the point of view of strength corresponds to a solid valve disk, but which can be produced at only half of the cost of the solid valve disk, the reason being that almost no material wastage occurs in the manufacture which, moreover, requires considerably less energy consumption. |
