In a height-adjustable foot, in particular for furniture and household appliances, which is attached to the underside of a plinth or the like and consists essentially of a tubular piece with a lower threaded end which bears the actual threaded support foot, the intention is that the fastening will not break, even with rough handling and considerable lateral forces, and additionally that the assembly costs will be low. This requirement is fulfilled in that the tubular piece (3) engages with its upper end preferably in a self-locking manner in a connection part (6) which, in turn, is anchored with dowel-type continuations in corresponding recesses in the plinth (8) or the like, the radial spacing of these continuations from the axis of the tubular piece (3) being greater than half the diameter of the tubular piece (3). <IMAGE>
