PURPOSE:To convey a high temperature resin sheet with the number of steps for clamping the sheet and troubles associated therewith being reduced, by cooling only both side edges of the high temperature resin sheet that is extruded from an extruder, and automatically clamping said edges by clamping apparatuses provided to conveying chains. CONSTITUTION:The high temperature resin sheet 3 that is extruded from the T-die of an extruder 1 is received by a belt conveyor 4. A second belt conveyor 5 is positioned at the same height as the conveyor 4 with a space (a) between them in the conveying direction A, and the conveying chains with clamping apparatuses 8 are arranged at the opposite sides of the belt conveyor 5. Cooling means, for example, air blowing outlets 6, 6 are provided over the belt conveyor 3 to cool and harden both the side edges of the sheet 3. The conveying chains 8 each have the plurality of the clamping apparatuses 9 with a certain intervals between them. As shown, when elements 9a and 9b are engaged, the clamping apparatus 9 is rotated about a point 0 to automatically clamp the edge. According to this method, the coveying is carried economically and satbly. |
