PURPOSE:To minimize the deformation of objects to be welded and to facilitate their removal after welding by isolating jigs for restraining of deformation provided with pressing means for welding parts that cover the welding parts in solid phase welding thermally from chucks for said materials and making the jigs splittable. CONSTITUTION:A pair of objects 5, 5 to be welded are grasped respectively in chucks 2, 3 and the welding parts where the end faces thereof are placed in proximity to each other are set between the upper and lower jigs of jigs 4 for restraining deformation. After the entire part of the device is put in a vacuum or inert gaseous atmosphere, the jigs 4 are heated to heat the objects 5, 5 to a specified temp., then the objects are pressurized in their axial direction. At the same instant a pressing means 14 for the jigs are lifted to pressurize the parts 5a at a right angle to their axial direction and to hold said parts for a specified time, so that the deformation in the direction at a right angle to the axial direction of the parts 5a is suppressed with restraining of the jigs 4 and pressing of the means 14. Since the chucks 2, 3 are isolated thermally from the jigs 4, the deformation of the objects to be welded is suppressed, and since the jigs 4 are made splittable, the welded objects are removed easily. |
