摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent an engine from stopping at a neutral state by setting a number of idling return revolutions in a connected state of a power transmission mechanism at a low level and the same in the disconnected state at a high level. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 22c obtains a target number of idling revolutions NSET in accordance with a water temperature signal (a) and a cooler load signal (d), and therefrom, a temporary target throttle opening T1. Meanwhile, when an actual number of revolutions N of an engine is greater than a number of idling return revolutions Nn or Nd in an N-range or a D-range, that is, even if the number of revolutions N in the N-range is greater than in the D-range, the effect is decided to be an idling state. Then, a correction term of a target throttle opening T2=k(NSET-N) is obtained, and past correction terms are added to obtain a new T2, to which T1 is added to obtain a target throttle opening TSET. In this construction, when the engine is raced without the running of a car, N can be rapidly risen even if it is dropped rapidly, and the engine can be prevented from stopping.
