<p>A control valve (44) for use in a fluid pressure operated motor the cavity of which is divided by a movable wall into two chambers (34, 36), a hub (28) being connected to said wall and projecting outside the motor housing, said control valve (44) being located in a bore (38) of said hub for controlling fluid communication between said chambers and respective fluid sources, and comprising a resilient disc (46) the peripheral surface (48) of which sealingly engages a shoulder (76) in the bore (38);</p><p>According to this invention, the control valve further includes a rigid retainer (70) engaged into the bore (38) of the hub (28) and holding the peripheral surface (48) of the disc (46) in compressive abutment against the shoulder (76) through the intermediary of an inwardly projecting lip (84) formed at one end thereof, tabs (100) formed at its opposite end engaging a groove (102) on the hub to lock said retainer in a fixed position;</p><p>For use in brake boosters for automotive vehicles.</p> |
