PURPOSE:To improve the productivity of the type selecting and composing machine, in finishing the preparation of a composition, by reducing the number of characters having the same quality, the same kind, the same classification, and the like in the composition, and displaying the accumulated result. CONSTITUTION:A composition recording body 12 is obtained by a computer composition preparing machine 11. Symbols which are suitable for the type selecting and composing machine are obtained by an electronic symbol converting device 13 and inputted or implanted in a device 14 having an electronic controlling function. The electronic control device 14 reads the number of the characters having the same quality, the same kind, the same classification, and the like in the manuscript composition, displays the accumulated results, and instructs and operates the equipment such as a type casting machine and a type matrix exchanging device by the control of a plurality of systems. The accumulated casting, the casting in the instruction sequence, and the like of the characters having the same quality, the same kind, the same classification, and the like in the composition are performed. Thus the efficiency of the type selecting and composing machine 5 is enhanced. |
