<p>A composition for the control of unwanted foaming comprising
<UnorderedLists id="ula01" listStyle="none"><ListItem>(a) Soya bean oil</ListItem><ListItem>(b) a mineral oil</ListItem><ListItem>(c) a finely divided silica</ListItem><ListItem>(d) an unsubstituted fatty acid monoester of glycerol</ListItem><ListItem>(e) an unsubstituted fatty acid ester of a polyoxyalkylated sorbitan.</ListItem></UnorderedLists></p><p>These compositions are valuable for the control of foam especially in fermentations since they are stable to sterilisation.</p><p>Also they may be used in paints since they do not give the defects often associated with silicon antifoams.</p> |
