A closure device (10) is adapted to be mounted at the end of an elongated center section (600) of an aerodynamic device adapted to be disposed along a windward edge of a body in an airstream, such as a cargo container of a motor vehicle. Preferably the closure device comprises high impact fiber reinforced plastic and is adapted to form a telescopic joint with the end of the elongated center section, wherein the degree of overlap can be adusted such that the length of the aerodynamic device is approximately equal to that of the windward edge.
