A carbon black loaded elastomeric composition comprises a blend of from 50 to 100 parts by weight of polychloroprene and from 50 to 0 parts by weight of another diene rubber, from 0 to 75 parts of at least one flexible filamentary material and from 0À5 to 20 parts of at least one fluorocarbon resin, said parts being by weight per 100 parts of blend. A suitable composition consists of polychloroprene, oil, carbon black, wax, particles and conventional curatives with or without cotton linters, and contains as the resin polytetrafluoroethylene or tetrafluoroethylene hexafluoropropylene copolymer. The compositions may be used as the cushion stock for a conveyer belt or to impregnate the fabric cover. |
