PURPOSE:To improve the transparency and physical properties of a laminated glass, by mixing a photosensitizer with ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, integrating two panes of glass with the resultant mixture placed therebetween, melting the resin under heating, and curing the resin under irradiation with light. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitizer in an adequate amount is mixed with ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer to form a photosetting resin composition. The resultant resin composition is then sheeted and placed between two panes of glass by an extruder, calender, etc., and air present in the gap between the panes of the glass and the intermediate layer is expelled by heating under reduced pressure or hot-pressing. The intermediate layer is then closely adhered to the panes of the glass uniformly and integrated. The resultant laminated glass is then heated to the melting point of the intermediate resin layer or above and irradiated with light to cure the resin. The intermediate layer of the resultant laminated glass is the curable resin, and the formation of air bubbles and the slippage of the glass will not be caused by heat, etc. |
