A rotary vane machine having vanes with a three component wear resistant material. The matrix is a fluorocarbon polymer, e.g. PTFE. Furthermore, there are hard phases whose hardness deviates less than 20% from that of the counterface. Glass or carbon is preferable against steel or cast iron. Furthermore an inorganic solid lubricant has been added to the wear resistant material. Lead and lead oxides are particularly good. |
