<p>PURPOSE:To search for a fault easily and speedily through remote operation, by supplying the output signal of the detecting filter of a preceding repeater to the input fault detecting means of a trailing repeater as input-side fault search signal. CONSTITUTION:The center frequencies of the filters 15 and 16 for input fault detection of a repeater 1 at the (n)th stage are set to fn-1, and the passing center frequency of a filter 17 for output fault detection is set to fn. A fault of output to the repeater 1 at the (n)th stage is detected through the output fault detecting circuit 1-2, an output-stage fault detecting filter 17, and an interposing line 107 by a signal having a repeating-point discrimination frequency component fn that the repeater 1 receives. The passing center frequency of the input fault detecinng filter 18 of the repeater 2 at the (n+1)th trailing stage is set to fn, so the output signal of the filter of the repeater at the (n)th stage is used as a signal for input fault detection of an input fault detecting circuit 2-1.</p> |
