PURPOSE:To facilitate the fixing of a batten to prevent the slackening of a sail face and ensure the tension of a sail by inserting the batten into a bag part provided in one body with the sail and fastening it by a band. CONSTITUTION:A bag part 30 is provided in one body with a sail 3 to be extended from the rear part of a mast 2 to the rear end of the sail 3 and opened in its rear end. A band 31 is provided on one side of the opening of the bag part 30, while fastening means 9 are provided at the top of the band 31 and on the other side of the opening. For fitting a batten 7, a projection 71 on one end of the batten 7 is inserted into a blade-shaped member 5 of the mast 2, and the batten 7 is inserted through the bag part 30. Then, the band 31 is fitted into a concave 72 on another end of the batten 7 and stretched across, and fastening means 9 are fastened with each other. Thereby, the sail 3 is spread out tightly between the blade-shaped member 5 and the band 31. |
