[Also in Division G2] Thermo-copying apparatus has a rotatable cylinder 2, at least two rigid heating members 12, 13, 14 of cylinder shell form which bear resiliently on the cylinder by radial springs (23) Fig. 2 (not shown) and which extend over more than 180 degrees of the cylinder circumference, and an emulsion support guide 8, 9, 10 through which the emulsion supports can be introduced so that they are entrained and traversed between the cylinder and the heating means. Each heating member comprises a cylinder shell member of material having good thermal conductivity, e.g. metal, each being provided on the exterior along its longitudinal centreline with a U-section lug 16, a heating element 17 being disposed in each lug and being embedded in fire clay or other ceramic filler compound 18. Pins 20 are disposed within eyelets 19 provided at each end of the members, the pins extending through openings (21) in end walls (22) of housing 1, tension springs acting radially on the pins. The apparatus may be combined with an exposure part having a trough-shaped reflector, a lamp, a glass support plate and a hingeable cover. |
