PURPOSE:To obtain a superior pressure fixable toner, by using a toner contg. a polyester resin having sulfonic acid salt group as a compd. to be removed after granulation, and a colorant and a binder resin insoluble in a solvent for dissolving said polyester resin, and dissolving away said polyester resin after granulation. CONSTITUTION:A polyester resin obtained by sulfonating, e.g., 4-(beta-hydroxyalkoxy)benzoic acid monomer and neutralizing the condensation product contg. the sulfonic acid group is added 10-90wt% based on total toner powder as a removable compd. A binder resin, such as polyethylene or ethylene-acrylic copolymer, a magnetic powder, a colorant, and said removable compd. are mixed and melted, cooled, pulverized, and classified. The obtained powder is immersed in water to dissolve away said removalbe compd. This is dried and again classified. This toner is superior in low pressure fixability, and good in durability, and the obtained image to be sharp, and resistant to peeling or the like even when it is rubbed or bent. |
