PURPOSE:To perform reading and writing operation regardless of the direction of a card, etc., having a stuck magnetic tape, by recording data twice in the opposite directions of bits, and thus making the data, written for the 1st time and 2nd time, symmetric. CONSTITUTION:Data written on a magnetic card 1 are read by a magnetic head 2, amplified at a part 3, and converted by a demodulating circuit 4 into a binary number, which is transferred through lines 7 and stored in a memory 8. The stored data are analyzed by a control part 6. For data writing, data edited in the memory 8 are transferred through the lines 7 to a modulating circuit 5 to write the data on the card 1 through an amplifier 3 and a head 2. The sequence of the data in the memory 8 coincides with that of data written on the card 1, and editing is performed so that the sequence of bits of data written for the 1st time is made opposite to that written for the 2nd time, thereby writing the same data regardless of the running direction of the card 1. Further, those data are read and the control is simplified. |
