PURPOSE:To control tasks more than a fixed value in a control table having a fixed capacity by constituting the task control table on an operating system of the 1st and 2nd parts and assigning tasks to these parts in accordance with priority. CONSTITUTION:A task control table TCB 100 is accomodated in an operating system 5 on a main memory 1 and a task having high priority is secured in an address in the TCB 100 at the preparation of the task. A task having low priority is stored in an auxiliary storage device 2 until the starting of the task is requested and the original information of the task is stored in a control table OTCB 800. At the starting request of the task, an idle address in the TCB 100 is searched, the information stored in the OTCB 800 is transferred to the idle address to execute it and, after the completion of the task, the information is returned to the device 2 to make the address in the TCB 100 idle, so that the TCB 100 is used while being overlaid. The system 5 is provided with the control program and tables 500, 600, 700 controlling the status, controlling tasks more than the capacity of the TCB 100. |
