PURPOSE:To enable control not affected by the environmental conditions of positions to be installed by arbitrarily setting the time of operation and stoppage of both a compressor and a blower and the time of operation only of the blower and controlling the time by repeated cycles. CONSTITUTION:An operation lever 5 is mounted to the remote controller (not shown) of the air conditioner, and a cycle such as the ON-OFF cycle of thirteen min as shown in a figure can be set variably. When air cooling operation, power consumption is reduced up to approximately half the case of continuous operation when a cycle such as an ON-OFF cycle is controlled according to (4), and room temperature is brought to desired temperature gradually. When the temperature of the outside air is not so much high, control not depending upon the conditions of installation is enabled as compared to the case of control by means of a thermostat if ON time is set to small value as (2) in the ON-OFF cycle when temperature is made lower than the outside air by 2-3 deg.C. Accordingly, the control, through which power consumption is reduced and which has excellent efficiency, is enabled. |
