PURPOSE:To obtain a recording body which is able to have high reproducing outputs in all ranges from high density to low density, by providing a scanning supporting surface disposed aslant facing downward against an evaporating source and a scanning supporting surface facing to the front in a vacuum chamber and forming the first and second stacked layers in turn on the surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An evaporating source 4 made of Co-Ni alloy and an evaporating source 5 made of Co-Cr alloy are disposed at a suitable distance at the downward part in a vacuum treating chamber 1. A scanning supporting surface 13 of a substrate 12 aslant facing downward against the source 4 is formed of a water-cooled plate 8 disposed between a winding frame 6 and an auxiliary roller 10, and the first stacked layer 14 made of Co-Ni alloy is formed on the surface of the substrate 12. A supporting surface 15 of the substrate 12 which is horizontal and facing to the front of the source 5 is formed of a water-cooled plate 9 provided between auxiliary rollers 10, 11, and the second stacked layer 16 made of Co-Cr alloy is formed discontinuously on the layer 14. |
