PURPOSE:To sweep a residual toner on a drum containing toners which are charged with opposite polarities, by providing a positive charged carrier holding cleaning roll and a negative charged carrier holding cleaning roll so that these two cleaning rolls face to a photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A toner on a drum 1 passing through a transfer charging part contains toners charged positively and negatively. A magnetic brush on the first cleaning roll 5 is formed by a positive charged cleaning carrier, and a positive bias voltage is applied to the sleeve of the cleaning roll 5, and the negative charged toner is attracted an held in the magnetic brush side and is removed by a scavenging roll 8 and a blade 7. A negative charged magnetic brush is formed on the second cleaning roll 6, and the positive charged toner is swept. |
