PURPOSE:To perform crowning working of a gear without requiring any dedicated operational mechanism, by providing a cutting device for moving a work in the perpendicular direction to the axis of the work in accordance with the axial movement of the work. CONSTITUTION:When advancing a traverse table 5 through a traverse motor 6 to work a work 9, a pulse generator 22 will produce a pulse whch is converted to a cutting amount signal by means of a converting means 23, thus to rotate a cutting motor 4 forwardly or reversely by the predetermined angle through a drive circuit 24 then advance or retreat a cutting table 3 to perform crowning working of the predetermined shape. |
