1288504 Gas heaters WELDOTRON CORP 7 Jan 1970 [21 March 1969] 843/70 Heading F4S [Also in Divison F1] In a portable apparatus for generating hot gases for use in heat shrinking of thermoplastic wrappings, a blower 68 supplies a quantity of air through holes 44, 46, 50, 52 into combustion chamber 83 for combustion of gas, e.g. propane, supplied through burner nozzle 56, and supplies a quantity of air through annular passage 47 to insulate outer wall 28 from the heat of combustion. On starting, combustion is initiated by a spark plug 80 whereafter the latter is deenergized and the blower is switched on. Exhaust duct 36 is shielded by a screen 102. Carrying handles 98 are provided. |
