The apparatus for the explosion machining of materials contains a chamber (1) with a work table (3) erected on its base plate (2). The table (3) encloses a cylindrical casing (4) in which there is accommodated a supporting plate (6) which has projections (7) and gaps (8). Prior to the explosion, the projections (7) are partly located in the damping medium (5), which is likewise accommodated in the casing (4). The supporting plate (6) is arranged such that it has the capability of being displaced towards the damping medium (5) during the explosion and of returning to its original position after the explosion. <IMAGE> |
