SEWING MACHINE WITH ZIG-ZAG PATTERN MECHANISM. BG-. Is of the needle-feed type which produces conventional lock-stitches as a straight seam, the pattern mechanism operating to shift the work laterally, and incorporating a lower plate which functions to effect the lateral work shift when the needles and conventional forward feed dogs are disengaged from the work. The lower plate co-operates with a laterally moveable upper plate on the machine presser foot, and a cam disc operates the zig-zag plates, in the manner of a crank, via links. |
