<p>The buckle for a safety belt holds a tongue attached to the belt and has a notch in which the bolt engages. The buckle has a base with two lateral walls joined by a base plate and the bolt plate pivots between the walls. Springs are fixed in the cover of the buckle to press the bolt into the tongue when the cover is put on the base. The bolt plate has a lever which disengages the bolt from the tongue, against the springs. There is a window in the cover opposite the lever.</p> |
