PURPOSE:To prepare an elastic foam having improved properties and uniform cells, by mixing a foam modifier into an organic isocyanate and then blending polyol, foaming agent, catalyst, etc. for subsequent foaming. CONSTITUTION:A foam modifier is added in 60-800pts.wt. to 100pts.wt. organic isocyanate such as tolylene diisocyanate for homogeneous dispersion or dissolution under thorough mixing. Examples of the modifiers are polypropylene resin to increase strength, polyethylene to increase hardness, polyvinyl chloride to improve high-frequency weldability, epoxy resin to impart flame retardance and polyethylene to improve impact resilience. Catalyst (e.g. dibutyltin laurate), etc. are added to the above mixture to perform foaming and obtain the elastic foam. |
