The lamp reflector (161,162) has the profile of the reflector following a development of the curve of the luminous source (8), with the origin of the development in contact with the lamp surface. The reflector (161,162) is applicable to either fluorescent tube light sources or incandescent bulb sources. In the case of a tube source (8) the reflector is formed from two mirror image halves opening out from their contact point (23) on the top of the tube in a logarithmic spiral profile. For an incandescent bulb the reflector is fitted around the lamp base, and is formed as a solid of revolution having a logarithmic spiral profile. The geometry of the reflector prevents all reflections towards the light source. |
