PURPOSE:To eliminate the variance of detection of a stuck toner to prevent the generation of contact sounds, by supporting a stuck toner detecting means freely movably back and forth in the breadthwise direction of a toner carrying path and controlling the contact and the separation of a doctor blade by a stuck toner quantity detection signal. CONSTITUTION:A stuck toner quantity detecting sensor 17 is arranged freely movably back and forth in the axial direction of a cleaning roller 12 which is a part of a toner carrying path. By the detection signal of this sensor 17, a unidirectional clutch 24, a motor 25, a shaft 23, and a cam plate 22 are rotated, and a lever 18 is pressed with a shaft 20 as the center as shown in figure, and a doctor blade 15 is separated from the surface of a recovery roller 3 or is brought into contact with this surface again through a toner recovery equipment 16 to which one end 18a of the lever 18 is attached. Consequently, the variance of the detection of the stuck toner is eliminated to enhance quietness. |
