PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for working a circumference of a pipe that can carry out arbitrary mechanical working of the outer surface of an end surface of a pipe, by arranging pipe driving rollers, idler rollers, and a grinding cutter to a base plate mounted opposite the end surface of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:The end of the pipe 1 is formed with a thickened part 1A thereby a stepped part 2 is formed on the outer surface of the end. The base plate 3 is arranged opposite to the pipe end surfce. A plurality of lateral shafts 5 extend from the base plate 3, and the driving rollers are attached to the shafts 5. Brackets 13 are provided at the upper part of the base plate 3 such that they are guided by guide rods 12 to be horizontally moved, and the idler roller 16 is attached to the bracket 13, with the outer circumference of the idler roller abutted on the end surface 1B of the pipe 1. The grinding apparatus 17 is attached at the upper end of the base plate with the angle of the apparatus 17 capable of being varied. The forward end of the apparatus 17 is provided with a diamond cutter 17 that is positively driven rotatably. |
