PURPOSE:To prevent generation of failure due to variation or annihilation of stored contents of a storage device when an electric power supply has been turned on, by detecting a voltage drop of a back-up electric power supply in case when the electric power supply is turned off, without consuming a current of the back-up electric power supply. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus having a volatile storage device for holding the stored contents by supplying an electric current even in case when an electric power supply is off, when voltage of a back-up electric power supply for supplying an electric current to the storage device when the electric power supply is off drops, and a stored data is varied or annihilatd, and stored data in each of the first and second prescribed areas of the storage device, to which a data corresponding to a state of each part of the apparatus before the electric power supply is turned off are different from each other, initializing is executed irrespective of the stored data of the first prescribed area. Accordingly, in the course of initializing immediately after the electric power supply has been turned on, by variation or annihilation of the stored data, for instance, it is possible to prevent damage of a loudspeaker, etc., caused by the fact that an electronic volume is set to the maximum sound volume value by mistake. |
