PURPOSE:To apply automatically, positively and beautifully a covering material, by pressing the decorative covering material applied with an adhesive onto the top surface of a bar core body, and pressing folding and so on the peripheries thereof by various specifically designed rolls. CONSTITUTION:The decorative covering material 3 having a width wider than the top surface of the bar core body 2 is placed on the top surface of the bar core body 2 with the adhesive undersurface thereof down, and it is pressed by a press roll 5 to be bonded. Then the opposite edges of the covering material 3 that project laterally from the top surface of the body 2 are pressed and folded down successively by press rolls 6, 6 inclined toward each other, and the folded edges of the covering material 3 are than forced into gaps 11, 11 by forcing rolls 7, 7 having opposed flanges 13, 13. Thereafter, the clamping projected pieces 12, 12 are bent by press rolls 8, 8 toward projected pieces 10 of the top surface 9 so that the forced edges of the covering material 11 are clamped by them. |
